Indian Oil Corporation Limited, one of the largest commercial undertakings in India and a Fortune “Global 500” Company, as a measure of Skill Building Initiative for the Nation, invites applications from candidates for engagement as Apprentices at its Refineries under the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 (as amended) in the Trade / Discipline.

Age Limit As on 30th September 2022
Minimum 18 years and maximum age shall be 24 years as of 30-09-2022 for General/EWS candidates. Relaxation of the upper age limit to SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD candidates shall be extended as per government guidelines.
Education Qualification
ITI, Diploma, Degree, Post Graduation, and other Post (BE/B.Tech/MBA/MCA/CA/LLB)
Stipend (Salary)
As per the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973/ Apprentices Rules 1992 as amended and corporate guidelines stipend will be paid per month to apprentices.
Period of Training
The period of apprenticeship training under rule 7 of the apprentice’s rules 1992 may be extended.
Selection Process
- Step 1: Candidate has given a written test in two hours duration
- Step 2: Candidate’s rank in the merit list based on written test
- Step 3: Call letters for the written test will be issued to all prima-facie eligible candidates
- Step 4: For candidates applying for an apprenticeship exact location and venue details will be communicated in the Admit Card.
- Step 5: Written test based on MCQ
- Step 6: A candidate will have to secure a minimum of 40% marks in the written test for qualifying for the selection process. (35% marks in case of SC/ST/PWBD categories)
How to Apply
- Step 1: A candidate can apply for an apprenticeship in any one of the Refinery units of his/her choice.
- Step 2: The candidate must have an active email ID and mobile phone number which must remain
valid for at least the next year. - Step 3: scanned copy of colour photograph and signature in jpg format (size not exceeding 50
KB) ready before applying online. - Step 4: Incomplete applications, applications not fulfilling the eligibility criteria/parameters online mode shall be treated as “Rejected”.
- Step 5: Candidate for reference and produced for verification at the time of Document Verification.
